🌿 Step 1: Choosing Materials with Intention
Our journey starts not in a factory, but with raw materials. Our team – sourcing specialists – spends weeks researching and selecting natural, sustainable materials. We look for bamboo that grows fast and strong, cotton that breathes softly, jute that wears naturally, and solid wood that ages beautifully.
Why it matters
We don’t chase trends. We chase timelessness. Every material is tested for durability, safety, and environmental impact. Only when it meets our “clean, simple, lasting” standard does it move to the next stage.
🚢 Step 2: The Long Sea Journey – From China to South Africa
Once packed, our cartons travel by truck to a major port in China, then board a container ship for a 25–35 day voyage across the Indian Ocean to Durban or Cape Town. We work with logistics partners who monitor temperature, humidity, and handling – especially important for natural materials that breathe.
This is the longest step, but also a meaningful one. Every mile brings our products closer to a home where they will be used, loved, and kept for years.
🎨 Step 3: Designing & Photographing – Bringing Quiet Beauty to Light
Once materials are approved, our designers create pieces that balance Eastern calm with modern living. But a good design also needs to be seen truthfully. That’s where our in‑house photographer steps in.
Using only natural light and neutral backgrounds, we shoot every product – from different angles, in real‑life settings, and with honest styling. No heavy filters, no false promises. What you see is what you feel at home.
🏠 Step 4: Arrival & Delivery – The Final Smile
When the container arrives at our Brackenfell distribution centre, our South African team takes over. We inspect every item, update inventory, and prepare for local delivery. Within 24–48 hours, your order is on its way – by courier, straight to your door.
And then, the best part: you open the box, place the piece in your home, and a small moment of joy begins.
